Pluralism Breeds Needless Tragedies

Unlike most of the states of the United States of America that use statutory law for criminal and civil matters, the federal government uses code law. The United States Code is the official compendium of the laws passed by the Congress of the United States of America and signed into law by presidents and/or have become law as a result of Congressional overrides of presidential vetoes.

Paragraph 1324 of 8 United States Code states the following:

(1)(A) Any person who-

(i) knowing that a person is an alien, brings to or attempts to bring to the United States in any manner whatsoever such person at a place other than a designated port of entry or place other than as designated by the Commissioner, regardless of whether such alien has received prior official authorization to come to, enter, or reside in the United States and regardless of any future official action which may be taken with respect to such alien;

(ii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise, in furtherance of such violation of law;

(iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;

(iv) encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or

(v)(I) engages in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts, or

(II) aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts,

shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).

(B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs-

(i) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i) or (v)(I) or in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), or (iv) in which the offense was done for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both;

(ii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), (iv), or (v)(II), be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both;

(iii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) during and in relation to which the person causes serious bodily injury (as defined in section 1365 of title 18) to, or places in jeopardy the life of, any person, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both; and

(iv) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both. (8 USC 1324: Bringing in and harboring certain aliens.)

This is part of the United States Code. In other words, it is a law duly passed by the Congress of the United States of America.

Presidents of the United States of America take the following Oath of Office as found in Article II of the Constitution of the United States of America:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Part of a president’s constitutional duties is to enforce the laws passed by the Congress of the United States of America. A dereliction of those duties would be considered a violation of his oath of office and thus ground for impeachment if we lived a world governed by men who were committed to the fair and impartial pursuit of justice in light of the just Judgment that awaits us all when we die. It is a fundamental dereliction of duty for a president of the United States of America to ignore just laws that provide for the regulating of immigration and thus contribute to national security, the integrity of the nation’s borders, and to an orderly process of migration that permits time to assure that immigrants will pose neither a health nor safety threat to American citizens.

The relevant provision of Article I of the Constitution as dealing with naturalization, which presupposes immigration to the country, is as follows:

To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States; (Subsection 4, Article I)

Former President of the United States of America Joseph Robinette “Autopen and Accounts Receivable” Biden, Jr.,  deliberately refused to ignore the just laws passed by Congress to provide for the orderly migration of non-citizens into the United States of America, and he is doing so to achieve “equity,” something that the ideologue who served as the Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, stated proudly several times in testimony before Congressional committees while also stating—and with a straight face, mind you, that the “border is secure.” 

The southern border of the United States of America was not secure under Biden and Kamala Harris Emhoff as it was a sieve whereby those who had been deported previously, felons in their own countries who had committed violent crimes, child traffickers, drug traffickers, and violent criminal gang members all got a free pass across the border to commit murder and mayhem.

Section 1324 of Title 8 of the United States Code, therefore, was violated repeatedly by Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., Kamala Harris Emhoff, and Alejandro Mayorkas as the spiteful, vengeful Attorney General, Merrick Garland, aided and abetted this invasion of illegal entries into the United States of America without a concern for his sworn duties to upon the Constitution of the United States of America and to uphold the laws made thereunder.

President Donald John Trump was elected to second, non-consecutive term as President of the United States of America ion November 5, 2024, in large part because he had promised to close the southern border with the United Mexican States and to begin the deportation of those illegal immigrants who, in addition to their crimes of crossing into this country illegally, have committed violent crimes and who been protected by district attorneys, state attorneys general, mayors, governors, and members of both Houses of the Congress of the United States of America in all too many instances. The Governor of the State of California, for instance, has seen to it that illegal immigrants received commercial driver’s licenses, which have resulted in the deaths of eight Americans on the United States highways and State of New York Governor Kathleen Hochul has authorized the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles to issue driver’s license to “No Name Given” in order to conceal the identities of illegal immigrants. Authorities in several states and localities, most notably the States of California, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, New York, and Massachusetts as well as the Cities of New York, New York, Chicago, Illinois, Portland, Oregon, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have boasted of their efforts to block the enforcement of Federal law by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security

Admitting full well that the use of quotas to deport illegal aliens who have been here for decades and have broken no laws after entering the country illegally is unjust and demonstrates the lack of any compassion for people who have opened businesses, bought homes, and raised families here and that the indiscriminate arrest of even bona fide native born or naturalized citizens and legitimate permanent residents who hold valid green cards issued by the United States of America because they have swarthy or brown skin complexions is manifest unjust and borders on invidious racialism, the effort to remove illegal aliens who have committed t crimes is thoroughly justified and, indeed, is a duty under Section 1324 of Title 8 of the United States Code.

The tragedy that occurred in that hotbed of leftism, nihilism, baby-killing, and all manner of unspeakable perversities, Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, when an trained ICE “watch commander,” Renee Good, was shot and killed by an ICE agent she had just drive to run down after her “wife” told her to “Drive, baby, drive” as the agent stood in front of her that was partially blocking traffic was entirely avoidable. However, State of Minnesota Governor Timothy James “What Somalian Fraud” Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s constant efforts to demonize the enforcement of laws passed by the Congress of the United States of America helped to agitate leftists, who are always agitated about something or another, to mobilize to “take action” to prevent ICE officers from enforcing the laws that are part of the United States Code.

Several anti-ICE activists have admitted that they were paid to travel from place to place while others who are residents of Minneapolis admitted having been paid, and we know that there is usually once principal source for these payments, which are funneled through various front organizations, and that source is named George Soros, whose Son, Alexander Soros, has been meeting with Democrats to plot ways to use anti-Trump judges to issue injunctions to block the enforcement of laws and executive orders:

A coalition of anti-Trump state attorneys general met "daily" during 2025 to brainstorm and organize ways to foil the administration, according to George Soros-backed New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez, who has been an active member of the group.

In an interview with Source New Mexico published on Dec. 31, Torrez said that he and other Democratic attorneys general "were meeting on a daily basis for the first 90 or so days" of President Donald Trump’s second term. Since then, Torrez told the outlet, "We have since taken that down to every other day."

According to Source New Mexico, the result has been that Torrez has led or signed onto 36 legal challenges against the Trump administration since January 2025. This has included a challenge to the Trump administration’s deployment of National Guard troops to Washington, D.C., as well as contesting the Department of Government Efficiency and opposition to some of the administration’s immigration actions.   

In the interview, Torrez described this opposition to Trump as an enormous undertaking and an "ever-growing resource challenge to track and monitor the pending status of all that litigation."

Torrez has been New Mexico’s attorney general since 2023. He got his political start in 2016 when he successfully ran for Bernalillo County district attorney. During his 2016 campaign, he received the support of left-leaning super PAC New Mexico Safety & Justice, which was bankrolled by Soros.

According to a June 2016 expenditures and contributions report publicly available on the New Mexico Secretary of State’s website, New Mexico Safety & Justice received a $107,000 donation from Soros. The same filing shows the group spent $92,526.84 on media buys and media production costs in support of Torrez. The group also spent $9,555.00 on "In-Kind Polling to Progressive Champions NM PAC" and $1,951.40 on "polling."

Torrez’s Republican opponent, Simon Kubiak, dropped out of the race after the contribution. According to 2016 reporting by the New Mexico Political Report, Kubiak cited Torrez’s campaign finances as the reason for his dropping out.

The outlet reported Kubiak saying that "New Mexicans cannot afford to challenge anyone who has unlimited resources and support from a multibillionaire from another country," in an apparent reference to Soros, who is originally from Hungary and lives in New York.

After serving two terms as Bernalillo County district attorney, Torrez was elected attorney general of New Mexico in 2022. He took office in 2023.

Torrez launched his first lawsuit against the administration one day after Trump returned to the Oval Office. On Jan. 21, Torrez joined 17 other state attorneys general and the attorney general of D.C. in challenging Trump’s executive order restricting birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants.

In a statement released at the time, Torrez called Trump’s order "a direct attack on the Constitution and the fundamental rights it guarantees to every child born on American soil." The order is currently blocked while the case is ongoing.

The next month, Torrez led a lawsuit against the Trump administration over DOGE, arguing that Elon Musk and the department were unlawfully granted authority to carry out the planned budget cuts.   

In April, Torrez joined 19 other attorneys general in a lawsuit challenging Trump’s executive order requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.

Then in September, Torrez filed an amicus brief in support of another lawsuit challenging the administration’s deployment of troops to D.C.

According to the interview, Torrez and others in the coalition began preparing for a Trump administration in "early 2024." Since then, Torrez said, "We have kept our foot on the gas."

At the same time, Torrez lamented that "the sad part" is that "some of these actions that were pursued by the administration through executive orders are now being built into the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill,’ so even if we win on the restoration of funding from the first fiscal year, we’ll be overtaken by federal legislation."

Torrez told the outlet that "none of the institutions in our government have been built to respond and react to the scale and speed of the destruction that’s being wrought by the Trump administration." (Soros-backed AG says Dems met ‘daily’ to coordinate lawsuits against Trump.)

The well-funded anti-ICE demonstrations and protests have resulted in injuries to ICE officers, some of whom have been dragged by motor vehicles driven by protestors, have inflamed the enforcement of Federal law and led Renee Good to the “patrol” the streets of Minneapolis as though she had some legal authority to interfere with the enforcement of Federal law and to wave “approved” vehicles without her blocking them. She put her own life on the line in doing so and endangered the lives of others, including ICE officers, as well:

The buzz around Hollywood is that the new film "One Battle After Another," which features left-wing vigilantes triumphing over the evil American government, is set up to win a Best Picture Oscar.

In Minneapolis Wednesday, we saw what happens when this silver screen fantasy meets the bloody reality of the actual world, where, during an altercation with ICE agents, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed.

Over the past day, various videos of the confrontation have been scrutinized as if they were the Zapruder film. What seems clear is that an officer was struck by Good’s car as she attempted to flee the scene, and he shot her through the windshield.

What is less clear, at least to the critics of law enforcement, mainly on the left, is whether the officer in question could have used less deadly means in the situation. But the thorniness of that very issue is precisely why the anti-cop vigilante tactics used by Good are a terrible and deadly idea.

In the leftist world of protesting, there are two basic methods. The first is known as indirect action, such as holding a sign, chanting or marching along a sanctioned route. The other method is direct action, which is basically anything that might get you arrested.

According to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Good, along with others, including her wife, had spent the day impeding ICE officers who were doing their legal job.

The purpose of Good and her comrades was to create confrontation with law enforcement, and that is exactly what happened.

Nobody will ever know if Good intended to hit the officer with her car, or just panicked trying to get away. While it may feel viscerally like her death was too high a price to pay, these are the wages of direct action vigilantism.

The problem for cops is that the use of vehicles as weapons against them has skyrocketed in recent years, along with flat-out ambush attacks on them such as occurred in Dallas in September. Their threat level has never been higher.

When Good uses her car to block in law enforcement’s vehicle, the first thought of the officers isn’t "How do I de-escalate this?" It is "Are we being pinned down so people can shoot at us."

The mantra of many on the left, including Antifa, whose tactics Good was employing, is "resistance by any means necessary." And if that puts lives at risk by shutting down streets so ambulances can’t move, or by driving at a cop, so be it, according to these radicals.

In fact, it is these agitators and the local police departments in places like Minneapolis and Portland who won’t arrest them, that create the very circumstances that lead to deadly confrontation. And they do it on purpose.

To take it a step further, the unwillingness of these police forces to punish direct action protesting has sent a clear message to the Antifa types that the streets belong to them. That is not how ICE officers operate, nor should it be.

I’ll be blunt, if the feckless manchild mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, actually allowed his police to arrest people for criminal protesting, this tragedy never would have happened.

Further, if Democratic mayors and governors simply cooperated with ICE and handed over criminals instead of protecting them, these ICE officers would never have even been there in the first place.

Left-wing protesters have to understand that it is not the job of law enforcement to allow them to commit crimes just because they think their cause is just. After all, pretty much everyone thinks their cause is just.

The message today should be crystal clear, and sung in unison: Protesters need to stop their illegal efforts to impede federal agents. That isn’t protest. It is criminal behavior and as we saw, it gets people killed.

When Hollywood makes movies like "One Battle After Another" and celebrates anti-government violence, its "brave" stars like Leonardo DiCaprio don’t get shot, they get rich, they might even get Academy Awards, but that is because the movies are not real life.

In real life, anti-cop vigilante violence does get people killed, and sadly, though predictably, given the coddling of the criminals, that is exactly what happened in Minneapolis. (ICE shooting in Minneapolis kills Renee Nicole Good during confrontation.)

The author of the article, David Marcus, who is a Catholic, wrote his column before additional facts became know about the events leading up the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good, who has been portrayed as something akin to an innocent bystander even though she had parked her car diagonally across a street to partially block passing motor vehicles and, was revealed in a video released only yesterday, Saturday, January 10, 2026, was seen dancing in the her vehicle’s driver’s seat as she attempted to prevent ICE vehicles from passing through while she blared car’s horn continuously:

Newly surfaced video appears to show Renee Nicole Good blocking ICE agents with her SUV for more than three minutes before she was fatally shot during a Minneapolis immigration operation.

The 3½-minute clip, posted on X Saturday, was shot from high up and shows Good’s vehicle stopped diagonally across the street, obstructing one lane of traffic.

Her horn blares continuously as she rocks side to side in the driver’s seat, behavior one X user described  as “dancing.”

The video was filmed from across the street and captures the minutes before the fatal encounter, as federal agents slowly approach the SUV while bystanders yell and whistle nearby.

No agents are seen attempting to break into the vehicle during most of the clip.

Some X users criticized Good for blocking ICE agents with her vehicle and said the deadly encounter left “no winners.”

Federal officials have said Good used her car as a weapon and endangered an ICE agent, prompting the deadly use of force.

The clip emerged as Vice President JD Vance defended Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent accused of killing Good, saying she “violated the law” and that the officer had every reason to fear for his life. Vance dismissed criticism from Democratic officials who labeled the shooting a murder.

The shooting remains under investigation as additional video continues to circulate and scrutiny of the moments leading up to the encounter intensifies. (Renee Nicole Good seen blocking ICE agents just before fatal Minneapolis shooting.)

Renee Nicole Good was clearly enjoying herself in her vehicle with Ontario license plates that she obtained when she and her “wife” moved to Canada shortly after Donald John Trump became the forty-seventh president on January 20, 2025, even though she appears to have spent much time in her native Minneapolis after the move.

Although the events leading up to the shooting by ICE agent Jonathan Ross were murky and subject to conflicting interpretations from the first set of videos, most of them edited to make Good seem like an innocent victim who had done nothing wrong, released, it was on Friday, January 9, 2026, that the video from body camera worn by Jonathan Ross was released, and it provided definitive proof that Renee Nicole Good was no naive ingenue but a woman who, along with her “wife,” was intent upon goading ICE and thus obstructing the administration of justice:

Newly released cellphone footage from Alpha News provides the ICE agent’s perspective during an incident involving Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota earlier this week. The footage captures the agent exiting their vehicle and approaching Good’s car, while being taunted as the pair intentionally block the street, far from the “peaceful observer” narrative being promoted by left-wing activists and politicians.

The situation escalates when Good, who was initially using her vehicle to block half the street, is instructed by another agent to exit her car. Instead, she shifts the car into drive and stares right at the ICE agent as she accelerates towards him.

In the video, you can hear the ICE agent, who was previously dragged 55 feet and received 33 stitches in a previous vehicular assault, audibly shocked.

As the camera angle shifts upward, gunshots can be heard, indicating the moment the shooting occurred. The footage provides a clearer view of the tense moments leading up to the shooting, including the officer clearly being hit by the car, and Good’s clear attempt to hit him.

A NEW video taken by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer who killed driver Renee Good shows the clearest view yet of the dramatic clash seconds before he opened fire.

The clip shows agent Jonathan Ross circling the car while being confronted by Good and her wife, who can be heard screaming “drive baby,” seconds before the fatal encounter.

The video, released by Alpha News, was taken on a cellphone and captures the “perspective of the federal agent at the center of the ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis,” the outlet reported.

The clip shows Good stopped in her Maroon Honda SUV on Wednesday morning as she’s being approached by the agents.

The mom of three appears to smile and says, “That’s fine dude. I’m not mad,” as he walks just inches away from her open driver’s side window.

Meanwhile, Good’s wife, Rebecca Good, 40, stood feet away, and could be heard provoking the agent and yelling at him to “show his face.”

“You want to come at us? I saw go get yourself some lunch big boy,” Rebecca could be heard saying as she films the encounter.

“Go ahead,” she continued while the agent remained silent.

As seen in other videos from the scene, two more officers approach the Honda and scream for Good to get out of the car.

As they do, Rebecca can be seen trying to open the front passenger side door, which is locked, before shouting at Good, “Drive, baby, drive, drive.”

Good can be seen backing up and turning her steering wheel to the right before accelerating forward.

The moment she does, three gunshots can be heard along what appears to be a crunching sound.

As the car speeds down the street, a man’s voice is heard saying [expletives deleted] before the out-of-control Honda rams into a parked car with the engine still revving.

In other videos taken at the scene, Ross is seen walking alone towards the crash after the shooting.

The newly released clip was also shared after CCTV showed that Good apparently had been blocking the road with her car for four minutes, CNN first reported. (Dramatic vid filmed by ICE agent who shot Renee Good shows tense stand-off as wife goaded him secs before he opened fire.)

It is clear from the ICE agent Jonathan Ross’s body camera video that Renee Nicole Good looked straight at him as she backed up and accelerated directly towards him. This is beyond debate no matter how much the despicable Mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jacob Frey, tries to pretend that Good did not try to run over Agent Ross by saying that the latter had a “hop in his step” after he jumped out of the way after being struck (see Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey dismisses new ICE shooting video, says agent 'walked away with a hop in his step').

All this having been noted, though, the use of deadly force as a first resort is disturbing as there were other ways to stop the vehicle (shooting at the tires) or even to track the car if Nicole Renee Good was able to speed away. She could have been charged with reckless endangerment and possible attempted murder had she survived.

None of us knows what was in the agent’s mind, but deadly force should be used as a last resort not as a first, especially since Agent Ross, who did the shooting, did not order her out of the car before shooting. He appears to have reacted viscerally after having been nearly run over rather than to collect himself and then do his duty to try to arrest the woman without having to use his gun. To many who are not willing to look at matters dispassionately the agent’s reaction seems to have been a punishment for the woman’s weaponizing her vehicle against him, but only an honest investigation can start to sort through the facts.

What is also disturbing is the fact that a physician who happened upon the scene was denied permission by ICE agents to check to see if Good was alive after her careening car had crashed into parked cars on the street. To deny medical assistance to a woman, who probably was killed instantly, who had been shot is simply wrong, and one can only hope that the Federal investigation into this matter will look into everything that happened in order that corrective measures may be taken in the future to de-escalate a situation that is rapidly escalating.

No matter one’s interpretation of what happened on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, I think that everyone can agree that this is a tragedy, and it is the sort of tragedy that is occurring more and more as our world, devoid as it is of a superabundance of Sanctifying and Actual Graces, descends into rank barbarism that is probably worse than the old barbarism of various European tribes before their conversion to Catholicism during the First Millennium.

Lost in of the devil’s agitation—and there is no doubt that Renee Nicole Good and her “wife” were agitated by the adversary given the fact that they were engaged in acts contrary to nature and thus detrimental to spiritual and mental health—is the fact the demonized ICE presence in Minnesota, which was prompted by the massive fraud in the Somalian community there, has rounded up violent criminals who preyed upon Minnesota’s own residents:

ICE told Fox News the criminal illegal immigrants were roaming freely in Minnesota prior to their recent arrests, and they are the type of people Democratic politicians and activists are referring to as their "neighbors" as they attempt to interfere with ICE.

"Regardless of staged political theatrics, ICE is going to continue to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens in Minnesota and elsewhere," ICE Director Todd M. Lyons wrote in a statement. "Some of these criminal aliens have had final orders of removal for 30 years, but they’ve been free to terrorize Minnesotans."

"ICE’s arrests prevent recidivism and make communities safer, but it feels like local politicians want to ignore that part and drum up discontent rather than protect their own constituents," he added.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reacted to the arrests on X Saturday, calling the convicts "sick people."

"This is why we have ICE Agents," Leavitt wrote in the post. "May God Bless them for their thankless work to protect American communities from these sick people."

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) posted a photo of a plane on X Saturday captioned, "Lawbreakers going wheels up in Minneapolis."

Some of the "worst of the worst" criminal illegal immigrants arrested in Minnesota include:

Sriudorn Phaivan, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of strong-arm sodomy of a boy and strong-arm sodomy of a girl, another aggravated sex offense, nine counts of larceny, unauthorized use of a vehicle, four counts of fraud, vehicle theft, two counts of drug possession, obstructing justice, possession of stolen property, receiving stolen property, burglary and check forgery. 

He also has pending charges for two counts of receiving stolen property, flight to avoid prosecution or confinement and burglary.

Phaivan has had a deportation order since 2018.

Tou Vang, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of sexual assault and sodomy of a girl under the age of 13, and procuring a child for prostitution.

Vang has had a deportation order since 2006.

Chong Vue, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of the strong-arm rape of a 12-year-old girl and kidnapping a child with intent to sexually assault her.

Vue has had a deportation order since 2004.

Ge Yang, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of strong-arm rape, aggravated assault with a weapon and strangulation.

Yang has had a deportation order since 2012.

Pao Choua Xiong, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of rape and child fondling.

Xiong has had a deportation order since 2003.

Kou Lor, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of rape, rape with a weapon and sexual assault.

Lor has had a deportation order since 1996.

Hernan Cortes-Valencia, a Mexican illegal immigrant, was convicted of sexual assault of a child and DUI.

Abdirashid Adosh Elmi, a Somalian illegal immigrant, was convicted of homicide.

Gilberto Salguero Landaverde, a Salvadoran illegal immigrant, was convicted of three counts of homicide.

Landaverde has had a deportation order since June 2025.

Gabriel Figueroa Gama, a Mexican illegal immigrant, was convicted of homicide.

Gama was previously deported in 2002.

Galuak Michael Rotgai, a Sudanese illegal immigrant, was convicted of homicide.

Thai Lor, a Laotian illegal immigrant, was convicted of two counts of homicide.

Lor has had a deportation order since 2009.

Mariana Sia Kanu, an illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone, was convicted of two counts of homicide.

Kanu has had a deportation order since 2022.

Aldrin Guerrero Munoz, a Mexican illegal immigrant, was convicted of homicide.

Munoz has had a deportation order since 2015.

Abdirashid Mohamed Ahmed, a Somalian illegal immigrant, was convicted of manslaughter.

Ahmed has had a deportation order since 2022.

Mongong Kual Maniang Deng, a Sudanese illegal immigrant, was convicted of attempt to commit homicide, weapon possession DUI.

Aler Gomez Lucas, a Guatemalan illegal immigrant, was convicted of negligent homicide with a vehicle and DUI.

Lucas has had a deportation order since 2022.

These are the “neighbors” whom Timothy James Walz, Jacob Frey, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Gavin Newsom, Jay Robert Prtizker, Kathleen Hochul, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, District Attorney Lawrence Krasner, and others desire to protect now after protecting them for years.

These are the “neighbors” whom Nicole Renee Good sought to protect as she obstructed the administration of justice as ICE rounds up violent criminals who should not have been in the United States of America in the first place.

To reiterate what I stated earlier, I believe that it is neither just nor moral to use quotas to round up farm hands, landscapers, laborers or, among others, retired grandparents who have broken no laws after entering the country illegally decades ago, have paid their taxes, and held steady jobs. There must be, as I noted sixteen years ago in Good Catholic Common Sense Must Prevail, part 1, and Good Catholic Common Sense Must Prevail, part 2, an effort to make distinctions between and among illegal immigrants so that mercy can be shown to those of good will and the full weight of justice be administered to those who have committed violent crimes and have been enabled by “enlightened” American politicians to return to the streets after their crimes to continue their predatorily barbaric lives.

Alas, what so many who are caught up in the heart of the moment do not seem to realize is that everything that is being done by ICE now to round up genuinely violent criminals is that some future administration governed by members of the false opposite of the naturalist “left” will bring these very same criminals back into the United States of America to murder, maim, commit massive fraud, and to assault the bodily integrity of women. And thus it must ever be in our pluralistic system of false opposites that is, as one presbyter noted twenty-one years ago as Mrs. Theresa Maria Schindler-Schiavo was undergoing her court-ordered murder by dehydration and starvation, nothing other than “the devil’s playground.” What is done in one administration will be undone by the next, and that is one of the perduring tragedies of American pluralism.

Keep Focused as Catholics on Root Causes

Also lost in all the agitation that proximately causes such tragedies as occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, is that Original Sin disordered man's relationship with God. It disordered man's relationship with his fellow man. It even disrupted the balance and harmony of nature itself. 

Each of the problems that we face in the world has Original Sin as its remote cause and the Actual Sins of men as its proximate cause.

That is why, my good and few readers, who keep dwindling away, it appears, there is no electoral, political, economic, legal, constitutional, secular, naturalistic, ideological, or philosophical way to ameliorate the effects of fallen human nature. The state of the world depends upon the state of souls.

Despite the fact that there will be disorder and disharmony in the world until the Second Coming of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the end of time, the extent to which there is more order in the world at any given time is the result of the extent to which the very inner life of the Most Blessed Trinity, Sanctifying or Habitual Grace, dwells in the souls of men as they seek to make reparation for their sins and grow in virtue as members of the Catholic Church.

Once again, let me turn to Pope Saint Pius X and Pope Pius XI to drive home this fundamental point that so many Catholics all across and up and down the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide seem eager to ignore during the diabolical assaults that afflict their immortal souls every time the false opposites of naturalism engage in their mock contests that are called elections: 

Here we have, founded by Catholics, an inter-denominational association that is to work for the reform of civilization, an undertaking which is above all religious in character; for there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

20. Every true and lasting reform has ultimately sprung from the sanctity of men who were driven by the love of God and of men. Generous, ready to stand to attention to any call from God, yet confident in themselves because confident in their vocation, they grew to the size of beacons and reformers. On the other hand, any reformatory zeal, which instead of springing from personal purity, flashes out of passion, has produced unrest instead of light, destruction instead of construction, and more than once set up evils worse than those it was out to remedy. No doubt "the Spirit breatheth where he will" (John iii. 8): "of stones He is able to raise men to prepare the way to his designs" (Matt. iii. 9). He chooses the instruments of His will according to His own plans, not those of men. But the Founder of the Church, who breathed her into existence at Pentecost, cannot disown the foundations as He laid them. Whoever is moved by the spirit of God, spontaneously adopts both outwardly and inwardly, the true attitude toward the Church, this sacred fruit from the tree of the cross, this gift from the Spirit of God, bestowed on Pentecost day to an erratic world. (Pope Pius XI, Mit Brennender Sorge, March 17, 1937.)

Yes, we must reform our own lives with every beat of our hearts, consecrated as they must be to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. In order to do this, of course, we love God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His Catholic Church with our whole mind, our whole soul, our whole body, our whole heart and our whole strength. We must love others for love of Him, Who wills the good of all men, which is the salvation of their immortal souls as members of the Catholic Church.

To love God, therefore, we must hate what he hates.

God hates sin. So must we.

God hates heresy. So must we.

God hates falsehood any kind. So must we.

God hates false religions and has nothing to do with them. So must we.

To hate sin is not to hate the sinner.

To hate heresy is not to hate the heretic.

To hate falsehood is not to hate those who propagate it.

To hate false religions is not to hate those to adhere to them.

Catholics know all of this.

Granted.

Unfortunately, we live in a topsy-turvy world that is suffering the effects of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolution and the subsequent rise and triumph of Judeo-Masonry and its multiplicity of "ideas" that have enshrined naturalism as the foundation of personal and social life. Men fall prey to sentimentality and emotionalism, illogic and passion. They are prone to believe everything except the true religion, prone to make excuses for their own sins and to seek to enable family members and friends who are living lives of unrepentant sin.

As the devil hates God but knows that he cannot destroy Him, he wants to do the next best thing: to convince men to hate God and His Holy Church and the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law so that they will wind up hating themselves and their fellow men, becoming instruments of disorder and violence in the world.

Catholicism is not a panacea for personal and social order. Each of us is wounded by the vestigial after-effects of Original Sin and our own Actual Sins. The Middle Ages of Christendom was marked with various episodes of wars among Catholic kingdoms and even against popes themselves, The fact that individual Catholics fail to cooperate with the graces won for them on the wood of the Holy Cross by the shedding of every single drop of the Most Precious Blood of Christ the King, Our Divine Redeemer, and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces, is to the discredit of individual Catholics who added to social disorder by means of their sins, not to the discredit of the Faith or any of Its immutable doctrines, including the Social Reign of Christ the King.

Pope Pius XII made this point in his first encyclical letter, Summi Pontificatus, October 10, 1939:

It is true that even when Europe had a cohesion of brotherhood through identical ideals gathered from Christian preaching, she was not free from divisions, convulsions and wars which laid her waste; but perhaps they never felt the intense pessimism of today as to the possibility of settling them, for they had then an effective moral sense of the just and of the unjust, of the lawful and of the unlawful, which, by restraining outbreaks of passion, left the way open to an honorable settlement. In Our days, on the contrary, dissensions come not only from the surge of rebellious passion, but also from a deep spiritual crisis which has overthrown the sound principles of private and public morality. (Pope Pius XII, Summi Pontificatus, October 10, 1939.)

The errors of pluralism have divided people needlessly into warring camps as a permanently established political class, composed of competing sets of naturalists, each of which believes that the Incarnation of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity in the Virginal and Immaculate Womb of His Most Blessed Mother by the power of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost at the Annunciation is, at best, a matter of complete indifference to personal and social order. So many Americans live from election to election, always believing that "change," whether it be in the direction of "progress" for naturalists of the "left" or in the direction of "constitutionalism" or "liberty" or "limited government" for naturalists of the "right." Paganism and barbarism have risen to the forefront as people still fight battles on a purely natural level that call to mind once again the following words of Pope Pius XI in Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922:

Men today do not act as Christians, as brothers, but as strangers, and even enemies. The sense of man's personal dignity and of the value of human life has been lost in the brutal domination begotten of might and mere superiority in numbers. Many are intent on exploiting their neighbors solely for the purpose of enjoying more fully and on a larger scale the goods of this world. But they err grievously who have turned to the acquisition of material and temporal possessions and are forgetful of eternal and spiritual things, to the possession of which Jesus, Our Redeemer, by means of the Church, His living interpreter, calls mankind.

22. It is in the very nature of material objects that an inordinate desire for them becomes the root of every evil, of every discord, and in particular, of a lowering of the moral sense. On the one hand, things which are naturally base and vile can never give rise to noble aspirations in the human heart which was created by and for God alone and is restless until it finds repose in Him. On the other hand, material goods (and in this they differ greatly from those of the spirit which the more of them we possess the more remain to be acquired) the more they are divided among men the less each one has and, by consequence, what one man has another cannot possibly possess unless it be forcibly taken away from the first. Such being the case, worldly possessions can never satisfy all in equal manner nor give rise to a spirit of universal contentment, but must become perforce a source of division among men and of vexation of spirit, as even the Wise Man Solomon experienced: "Vanity of vanities, and vexation of spirit." (Ecclesiastes i, 2, 14)

23. The same effects which result from these evils among individuals may likewise be expected among nations. "From whence are wars and contentions among you?" asks the Apostle St. James. "Are they not hence from your concupiscences, which war in your members?" (James iv, 1, 2)

24. The inordinate desire for pleasure, concupiscence of the flesh, sows the fatal seeds of division not only among families but likewise among states; the inordinate desire for possessions, concupiscence of the eyes, inevitably turns into class warfare and into social egotism; the inordinate desire to rule or to domineer over others, pride of life, soon becomes mere party or factional rivalries, manifesting itself in constant displays of conflicting ambitions and ending in open rebellion, in the crime of lese majeste, and even in national parricide.

25. These unsuppressed desires, this inordinate love of the things of the world, are precisely the source of all international misunderstandings and rivalries, despite the fact that oftentimes men dare to maintain that acts prompted by such motives are excusable and even justifiable because, forsooth, they were performed for reasons of state or of the public good, or out of love for country. Patriotism -- the stimulus of so many virtues and of so many noble acts of heroism when kept within the bounds of the law of Christ -- becomes merely an occasion, an added incentive to grave injustice when true love of country is debased to the condition of an extreme nationalism, when we forget that all men are our brothers and members of the same great human family, that other nations have an equal right with us both to life and to prosperity, that it is never lawful nor even wise, to dissociate morality from the affairs of practical life, that, in the last analysis, it is "justice which exalteth a nation: but sin maketh nations miserable." (Proverbs xiv, 34)

26. Perhaps the advantages to one's family, city, or nation obtained in some such way as this may well appear to be a wonderful and great victory (this thought has been already expressed by St. Augustine), but in the end it turns out to be a very shallow thing, something rather to inspire us with the most fearful apprehensions of approaching ruin. "It is a happiness which appears beautiful but is brittle as glass. We must ever be on guard lest with horror we see it broken into a thousand pieces at the first touch." (St. Augustine de Civitate Dei, Book iv, Chap. 3)

27. There is over and above the absence of peace and the evils attendant on this absence, another deeper and more profound cause for present-day conditions. This cause was even beginning to show its head before the War and the terrible calamities consequent on that cataclysm should have proven a remedy for them if mankind had only taken the trouble to understand the real meaning of those terrible events. In the Holy Scriptures we read: "They that have forsaken the Lord, shall be consumed." (Isaias i, 28) No less well known are the words of the Divine Teacher, Jesus Christ, Who said: "Without me you can do nothing" (John xv, 5) and again, "He that gathereth not with me, scattereth." (Luke xi, 23)

28. These words of the Holy Bible have been fulfilled and are now at this very moment being fulfilled before our very eyes. Because men have forsaken God and Jesus Christ, they have sunk to the depths of evil. They waste their energies and consume their time and efforts in vain sterile attempts to find a remedy for these ills, but without even being successful in saving what little remains from the existing ruin. It was a quite general desire that both our laws and our governments should exist without recognizing God or Jesus Christ, on the theory that all authority comes from men, not from God. Because of such an assumption, these theorists fell very short of being able to bestow upon law not only those sanctions which it must possess but also that secure basis for the supreme criterion of justice which even a pagan philosopher like Cicero saw clearly could not be derived except from the divine law. (Pope Pius XI, Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922.)

That last paragraph, number twenty-eight, says it all. The gist of the two hundred thirty-seven articles linked at the top of this article can be summarized in the following words written by Pope Pius XI nearly eighty-eight years ago:

They waste their energies and consume their time and efforts in vain sterile attempts to find a remedy for these ills, but without even being successful in saving what little remains from the existing ruin. (Pope Pius XI, Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922.)

Personal and social disaster cannot but be the result of the slew of errors that exist in plurs

Men resort more and more to violence today because they do not know of the tender mercies of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

They do not know that they have a Blessed Mother who made possible their salvation by her perfect fiat to the will of God the father at the Annunciation.

They do not realize that the supernatural helps they need to overcome all sin in their lives and to pray for the conversion of those who are promoting evil in society flow through the loving hands of that same Blessed Mother, who gave the Rosary with her own blessed hands to Saint Dominic de Guzman so that we could be more closely united to her Divine Son, Christ the King, through the mysteries contained in her psalter, the Rosary.

The spate of recent shootings (Atlanta, Georgia, Boulder, Colorado, Orange, California, Bryan, Texas) that have taken place in recent weeks are the result of the triumph of a nihilism that has reduced human life to nothing other the pursuit of material and carnal pleasures and thus reduced rational men into self-hating barbarians when things do not go their way. Innocent blood must be spilled when men are unable to accept the crosses that God in His Divine Providence puts into their lives and thus come to consider other human beings, who they do not realize are made in His own very image and likeness because they do not see themselves as redeemed creatures in need of acting in accord with the Ten Commandments, as objects to be eradicated at will. Those steeped in their own unforgiven sins and trapped in the abyss that is modern life with all its bread and circuses will come to fantasize about the killing of others as they have been inspired by the adversary to be as filled with hate for them as he, adversary, is for God and thus for His rational creatures.

Most men today do not realize that there is nothing that any of us can suffer, whether personally or socially, that is equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Lord to suffer in His Sacred Humanity on the wood of the Holy Cross and that caused those Seven Swords to be thrust through and through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. They tend, therefore, to dwell on their own pain, whether real or imagined, and to stew in their own juices as they conjure up hatred for their fellow human beings, each of whom is made in the image and likeness of the Most Blessed Trinity and for whose salvation we must pray fervently as one of the Spiritual Works of Mercy.

Living in a world that has been deprived of a superabundance of Sanctifying and Actual Graces as a result of the barren liturgical rites of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, most men today are "catechized" by television or the internet or what passes for "entertainment" in popular culture. They are tossed about from one thing to another without having any clear, coherent understanding of their identity as redeemed creatures and that each of us will have to make an accounting of our lives at the moment of our Particular Judgments. Men who lack the Catholic Faith, you see, must descend more and more into a coarseness of life and culture that produces a class of neo-barbarians who are not only at the gates but who are well inside of the fort of the city.

We are living a world that was born of Modernity’s bloody revolution against the true Church five hundred years ago and has been nurtured and sustained in blood as one social revolution after another has based its particular prescriptions for a “just world” on hate.

Hatred of God.

Hatred of His true Church.

Hatred of those who profess the Holy Faith publicly.

Hatred of anyone who refuses to submit to the Judeo-Masonic “new world order” that was made possible by Martin Luther’s Protestant Revolution five centuries ago.

Catholic kingdoms were once ruled by men whose personal holiness and virtuous pursuit of justice were such that Holy Mother Church raised them to her very altars as canonized saints.

This is all a chastisement for the multifarious ways in which the Most Holy Trinity has been dishonored and blasphemed in a land of such “civil liberty” that every manner sin and indecent behavior is protected by the civil laws and celebrated in all the quarters of social life.

We are eyewitnesses to the process of American disintegration, which is all the more reason for us to spend time, if at all possible where you live in this time of apostasy and betrayal, before the Blessed Sacrament and by uniting ourselves more fully to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Which beats for us with such love in the Adorable Sacrament of the Altar, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

It should go without saying that the conciliar revolutionaries have enabled the modern carnage of innocent human beings and the totalitarianism that is being imposed by the statists to address symptoms with false and sterile remedies by their, the conciliarist revolutionaries’, precisely because they eschew and, quite indeed, condemn what they disparage as “proselytizing.”

The counterfeit church of conciliarism is awash with the eternal deaths of millions upon millions of souls by their daily violence against the true Faith by offending God with their false doctrines, sacrilegious liturgies, libertine concept of subjective, situation-based “ethics.” These wretched revolutionaries are thus as content as their counterparts in civil governments to bewail the problems of the world that they themselves have, each in their own way, helped to foster and worsen on a daily basis as they seek, most likely wittingly, to transform the world in the “newthink” mirror image of China in Communist captivity.

The cold-blooded killing of souls and bodies will end when the Triumph of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary is made manifest. by renewing on a daily basis our consecration to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary and to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, consoling these Hearts by imitating the simple love of Francisco Marto, who prayed as many Rosaries as he could each day to "console the good God."

Our situation, which has spiraled out of control so fast that anyone who thinks that a country that permitted illegal immigrants pour across is borders and is letting wanton street thugs commit crimes without much, if any, punishment while rewarding baby-butchers and the Aztecs in white coats who kill human beings after birth under one or more euphemisms with protection under the cover of the civil law is going to be “saved” without the conversion of men to the true Faith is not think clearly.

Yes. it is  Catholicism or the abyss.

Behold the abyss.

We need Our Lady’s help now more than ever, especially by remaining faithful to her Most Holy Rosary on a daily basis and by distributing blessed Miraculous Medals and Green Scapulars to the souls God sees fit in His Holy Providence to place within our lives.

On this Feast of the Holy Family, therefore, may we fly to the protection of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in our own personal lives and to help us imitate their virtues and thus to order every aspect of our lives to please God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His true Church.

True peace in the world depends upon peace within the souls of men who abide in a state of Sanctifying Grace, and it is that peace—the peace of the Prince of Peace Himself—starts in the domestic cell of the Church that is our own families.
