Feast of Saint Nicholas of Myra

Commemoration of the First Sunday of Advent

Dear Catholic Friends:

A blessed Feast of Saint Nicholas of Myra to you all as the first week of Advent draws to a close tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Ambrose and the Commemorations of the Vigil of the Immaculate Conception and the First Sunday of Advent.

We do not get a lot of mail these days. What mail we do get, however, consists of bills. Lots and lots of bills.

I was in for quite a surprise later yesterday afternoon, December 5, 2024, when I opened the stack of bills to find eight different copays for various diagnostic tests over the last few months are all due at the same time as our electric bill, gas bill, water/sewer bill, wireless phone bill, the Starlink satellite internet bill, and the annual fee to renew the domain name for this website. The aggegate of all the bills totals $2750. There will be zero dollars in the checking account once the e-check for our monthly mortgage payment clears either today or tomorrow.

Thus, undeterred by the futility of making thse appeals in the past and not wanting to appeal privately to those good Catholics who have been so generous in recent months, I am once again appearling to the general readership of this website to help me meet these pressing expenses at this time.

Although I am not as prolific as I was, say, a decade ago, I still do what I can as I am able, and there have been a lot of commentaries in the past few months that have required a great deal of time and effort to complete. The work of this site is done for the honor and glory of the Most Holy Trinity and in the hope that these articles are of benefit to those who read them.

Unfortunately, though, I am not independently wealthy, which I am appealing to those who derive some benefit from my commentaries and the financial wherewithal  to make a non-tax-deductible financial gift to do so as soon as possible,

Thank you for your consideration of this appeal, and it is my prayer that the requested funds can be raised in a timely manner.

Sincerely yours in Christ the King and His Most Blessed Mother,

Thomas A. Droleskey, Ph.D.
