Today’s article is a slight revision and republication of a very brief and wholly inadequate reflection on the life of the great mystic, stigmatist and spiritual directress of souls, Saint Catherine of Siena, T.O.P., whose feast day is the day after that of the Protomartyr of the Order of Preachers, Saint Peter of Verona (Saint Peter Martyr). Saint Catherine was calumniated during her life, and she was blamed for having precipitated the Great Western Schism by convincing Pope Gregory XI to return to return to Rome in 1378. She suffered all such calumny with joy.

What’s our excuse for grumbling and/or murmuring about our crosses and the state of chaos in which we live in this time of apostasy and betrayal? Remember, everything thing that happens to us has been ordained by the hand of God Himself with exquisite perfection. Saint Catherine of Siena never lost an opportunity to suffer well. Indeed, she begged to suffer more and more for love of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. So should we.

I learned late last night of the death of the Reverend Nicholas Gruner, who died suddenly from a heart attack at the Fatima Center in Canada. This news both shocks and saddens me as I knew him personally and spoke at three of his conferences (1996 in Rome; 1998 at a former place of employment, Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois; and in 2004 in southern California) and two Catholic Family News conferences (2004 and 2005) at which he, of course, spoke. I had also spoken with him on the telephone a number of times I had the opportunity also to be in his company for dinner several times. It thus that I am personally moved by this news.

Readers of this site know full well where I stand on the state of the Church Militant in this time of apostasy, including having come to understand that the conciliar “popes” have been figures of Antichrist and that the conciliar rite of episcopal “consecration” is invalid, meaning that there have not been true popes, including the current apostate, to perform a valid consecration of Russia to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart with all of the world’s bishops (there are only a handful of elderly true bishops in the conciliar church, although most of the bishops of the Oriental Rites are true bishops). Such a consecration needs to be done, and it will be done once a true pope is restored to the Throne of Saint Peter in God's good time.

This having been noted, though, I am very indebted to the late Reverend Nicholas Gruner for a scholarly presentation he gave in Rome in 1996 that convinced me that “Pope John Paul II” had not fulfilled Our Lady’s Fatima Message in 1984 with the “consecration” that he had attempted. Reverend Gruner laid out the facts, which were very compelling to one who was as of yet nine and one-half years away from coming to realize that Karol Wojtyla was a false claimant to the Throne of Saint Peter and that nothing he did or attempted to do carried any kind of true papal authority. Gruner’s talks about the Fatima children were very inspirational, including one that he had given in Rome on the sufferings of Jacinta Marto from the Spanish influenza that would take her young life. I was helped to understand more of Our Lady’s Fatima Message and of the suppression of the Third Secret of Fatima.

The death of the Reverend Nicholas Gruner reminds us of these words contained in the First Epistle of Saint Paul to the Thessalonians:

[1] But of the times and moments, brethren, you need not, that we should write to you; [2] For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night. [3] For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape. [4] But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. [5] For all you are the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

[6] Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch, and be sober. [7] For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunk, are drunk in the night. [8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. [9] For God hath not appointed us unto wrath, but unto the purchasing of salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, [10] Who died for us; that, whether we watch or sleep, we may live together with him. (Thessalonians 5: 1-10.)

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself said:

[13] Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour. (Matthew 25: 13)

May Our Lady pray for each us now and at the very hour of our death.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Given a few unexpected penitential experiences yesterday while running errands for the family, the next action-filled, much-anticipated by the multitudes original article for this site will not appear until tomorrow. The length of the time needed to complete yesterday’s article, which was posted several hours after Midnight, made it impossible to complete the next original article for this site, which will deal with the anarchy taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, in response to that city’s mayor’s desire to give “protesters” “space to destroy.” Destroy the protesters did.

Then again, the work of diabolical destruction has been ongoing ever since an Augustinian monk posted ninety-five theses on the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, on October 31, 1517. Bergoglio may very well go to Germany to celebrate Martin Luther’s “renewal” after he goes to Fatima, Portugal, for the one hundredth anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos in the Cova da Iria. Bergoglio is a destroyer in his own right, following the example of his antipope predecessors. We need to stay in a State of Sanctifying Grace and keep close to Our Lady, especially through her Most Holy Rosary and as the consecrated slaves of her Divine Son, Christ the King, through her own Most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart

One of the professors who served on my doctoral dissertation review committee forty years ago, the late Dr. Ronald Stout, who has a very fine professor and kind Catholic gentleman, said that I had the “shoot until nothing moves” method of writing. It was a very accurate observation, and it is one to keep in mind as those who desire to read this long, detailed article, which contains many links that took much time to insert, plow their way through its text.

Mind you, the current article, which deals with several topics, including Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s removal of two conciliar “bishops” because of their protection of clerical predators and another because what was said to be his “extravagant” spending on a residential palace while he, Bergoglio, has indemnified other “bishops” guilty of the same, if not worse crimes, may not be for every reader. However, there is much for the “permanent record,” well, at least until government censors shut down this site once and for all, something that I know will occur sooner or later, for readers to consider. Bergoglio’s promotion of “climate change” and Hillary Rodham Clinton’s recent statement that cultural and religious beliefs that are opposed to the chemical and surgical execution of the innocent preborn must “change” also come in for some brief observations.
There is much work to be done. Baltimore, Maryland, is burning. Hillary is lying. Jorge is running off at the mouth. The work on these on other subjects will get done when time permits. This current article’s posting was delayed when I lost internet service around 1:30 a.m. yesterday morning. Thank you for your patience.

Sharon has once again typed up a devotion, the Septenary in Honor of Saint Peregrine Laziosi, as found in “Behold Thy Mother,” which has been reprinted by Refuge of Sinners Publishing at the request of the Sentman and Gauvin families, who had secured permission from the Servite Fathers to do so, who funded a run of two hundred books. Information about ordering these beautifully reprinted books may be found after the Septenary of Saint Peregrine Laziosi, who feast day, which is not on the General Roman Calendar of the Catholic Church is May 2, the Feast of Saint Athanasius.

Work is almost completed on the next original article for this site. As it is the Third Sunday after Easter and the topic to be dealt with is most unpleasant, to say the least, it was far more important to format the Septenary of Saint Perezine Laziosi and to include a photograph of the book’s cover. As is the case more often than not, plans to complete my article about “Bishop” Robert Finn’s treatment at the hands of the “merciful” Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who coddles the likes of Godfried Daneels, Battista Ricca and, among many others, Juan Barros, who was pelted with garbage during his “installation” as the conciliar “bishop” of Osorno, Chile, because his perversions and protection of those who are perverted are so very known, and the Argentine Apostate’s coddling of the coven known as the “Leadership Conference of Women Religious” (LCWR) has been postponed for another day or more. It took longer than expected to revise this current posting, my reflection on the life and martyrdom of Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, O.F.M., Cap., who opposed false ecumenism with his very life. There is another subject that needs to be taken up for posting tomorrow before getting to one that I meant to write yesterday.

Today is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in Paschaltide, a feast that originated under the title of “The Patronage of Saint Joseph” in 1847 by Pope Pius IX before being given its current name in 1911 and then repositioned two years later on the Wednesday following the Second Sunday after Easter by Pope Saint Pius X. This reflection is by way of an annual reminder, slightly revised, to trust in Saint Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful, in these times of persecution by the forces of Antichrist in the world and in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Although work has been done on part five, the concluding part, of my current series, the late night/early morning posting of part four prevents me from doing this. It should be posted by tomorrow morning, being followed soon thereafter by a commentary about “Bishop” Robert Finn and the coven known as the Leadership Conference of Women Religious.

What started out as a four part series has turned into five parts. Attention will be turned after the publication of part five to the Argentine Apostate’s doing what I had predicted two years ago would turn out to be the case: complete vindication for the revolutionary coven known as the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR). See “Francis the Feminist,” published on April 10, 2013, as it is listed on the Articles page of this website. (I am sorry. I simply cannot provide hyperlinks in the introduction to my new articles without having to create a new page, and the hour, which is now past three o’clock, Eastern Daylight Saving Time, is too late to do such a thing.)

Part four of the continuing series picks up where part three left off concerning the babbling of naturalists concerning what they would do when faced with going to a “marriage ceremony” between two persons of the same gender engaged in perversely unnatural acts in violation of the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law.

Two quick matters, though.

A very kind reader, Mrs. Teresa Gauvin, wrote to me about a week ago now to inform me of the wonderful news that she has taken up herself to reprint “Behold Thy Mother,” the book of prayers devoted to Our Lady of Sorrows that was published by the Servites in 1949. Today, Thursday, April 16, 2015, an Easter ferial day on which there may be commemoration of Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, whose feast as such in particular places, finds part two of my current series ready for posting. This current segment is a most incomplete and perhaps even inadequate examination of the role played by officials of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, some of whom were continuing the apostate work of their Americanist predecessors in the Catholic Church, of “forming” the consciences of Catholics I public life to be follow the cowardly example of Pontius Pilate, who stood face-to-face with Truth Incarnate yet preferred to stand well with his fellow men.

As recovery still continues from the oral surgery on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, the Feast of Saint Justin Martyr and the Commemoration of Saints Tiburtius, Valerian, and Maximus, part three may not appear until Saturday, April 18, 2015, although an effort will be made to try to complete for posting by tomorrow morning.
