Good Shepherd Sunday Update

Although two guest articles are ready for publication, they are being reviewed by their respective authors for their final approval and subsequent posting.

As for my own work, suffice it to say that all day yesterday, Saturday, April 9, 2016, was spent reading the horrific, insidiously Modernist text of Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s Amoris Laetitia with great care. Today, Good Shepherd Sunday, will be spent completing the commentary of part two of my current series, which as noted two days ago will require time to complete. However, I desire to be thorough in the analysis provided as it is not an exaggeration that every page of Amoris Laetitia is infected with Modernism to a greater or lesser extent. It is a truly penitential task to have to spend one's time reading through such a document that consists of sections that could have been written by "Dear Abby" or "Ann Landers" or by Ruth Westheimer. In other words, there is a great deal of Judeo-Masonic naturalism in various parts of Amoris Laetitia.

Thank you for your patience. The next commentary on Amoris Laetitia will be published when it is done, which is likely to be by tomorrow morning, the Feast of Pope Saint Leo the Great.

For the moment, though, here are two wonderful reflections on the meaning of Good Shepherd Sunday  as found in the readings for Matin's in today's Divine Office. The first was written, appropriately enough, by Pope Leo the Great:

Dearly beloved brethren, the days which passed between the Resurrection and the Ascension of the Lord, wore not idly by, but in them were established great Sacraments, and great Mysteries were revealed. In them was abolished the terror of that fearful death, and it was shown that not the soul only, but the body also, will not die eternally. In them the breathing of the Lord on His Apostles shed upon them the Holy Ghost, and the Blessed Apostle Peter, being given the keys of the kingdom of heaven, was chosen out of the rest to receive the chief care of the Lord's fold.

It was during those days, that as two of His disciples were walking together, the Lord Himself joined them, and made Himself One of three companions. Then that, to clear away all shadow of doubt from our mind, He rebuked the slowness of such as still feared and trembled. Their hearts enlightened by faith, caught the flame; and, whereas they had afore been cold, they glowed again as the Lord opened to them the Scriptures. In the breaking of bread their eyes were opened, and they knew Him. And, O, how much happier were they with their eyes opened, and gazing upon the glorification of our nature in His Person, than were the first father and mother of our race, upon whom their own transgression had brought shame!

Amid these and other miracles, while the disciples were still troubled with fearful thoughts, the Lord manifested Himself in the midst of them, and said : Peace be unto you. And lest their reason should be deceived by the vain imaginations which lurked in their hearts, (for they thought that What they saw was a spirit, and not Flesh,) He rebuked thoughts so inconsistent with the truth; and pointed out to the eyes of the doubters the marks of crucifixion which still remained in His Hands and His Feet, and bade them handle Him more closely. Those open Wounds made by the nails and spear in His Body remain ever open to close the wounds in unbelievers' hearts : that we may hold, not with doubtful faith, but with most firm and absolute knowledge, that the Manhood Which lay in the grave is the Same Which now sitteth at the right hand of God the Father. Pope Saint Gregory the Great explained the meaning of the Good Shepherd who is Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ:

Dearly beloved brethren, ye have heard from the Holy Gospel what is at once your instruction, and our danger. Behold, how He Who, not by the varying gifts of nature, but of the very essence of His being, is Good, behold how He saith: I am the Good Shepherd. And then He saith what is the character of His goodness, even of that goodness of His which we must strive to copy: The Good Shepherd giveth His life for the Sheep. As He had foretold, even so did He; as He had commanded, so gave He ensample. The Good Shepherd gave His life for the sheep, and made His Own Body and His Own Blood to be our Sacramental Food, pasturing upon His Own Flesh the sheep whom He had bought.

He, by despising death, hath shown us how to do the like; He hath set before us the mould wherein it behoveth us to be cast. Our first duty is, freely and tenderly to spend our outward things for His sheep, but lastly, if need be, to serve the same by our death also. From the light offering of the first, we go on to the stern offering of the last, and, if we be ready to give our life for the sheep, why should we scruple to give our substance, seeing how much more is the life than meat? Matth. vi. 25. Antiphon at the Song of Zacharias. I am the Shepherd of the sheep: * I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: I am the Good Shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine. Alleluia, Alleluia.

And some there be which love the things of this world better than they love the sheep; and such as they deserve no longer to be called shepherds. These are they of whom it is written : But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth . He is not a shepherd but an hireling which feedeth the Lord's sheep, not because he loveth their souls, but because he doth gain earthly wealth thereby. He that taketh a shepherd's place, but seeketh not gain of souls, that same is but an hireling; such an one is ever ready for creature comforts, he loveth his pre-eminence, he groweth sleek upon his income, and he liketh well to see men bow down to him. Mr. Timothy A. Duff, who took many years to do a careful correction of the English translation of the Venerable Mary of Agreda’s The Mystical City of God, resulting in the publication of The New English Edition of The Mystical City of God, has given me permission to publish an article he wrote on the way in which many of those who are opposed to sedevacantism use epithets to dismiss even the possibility what appears to be the Catholic Church, she who is the spotless, mystical bride of her Divine Founder, Invisible Head and Mystical Bridegroom, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, but is actually her counterfeit ape.

Work on my next installment of "Jorge's Exhortation of Self-Justification Before Men" is proceeding very nicely. Given the fact that yesterday's brief overview as posted during the overnight hours, however, it is not prudent to continue work on it at this time, shortly after Midnight, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, although it should be posted by later this afternoon if all goes according to plan.

Although I quite understand that the attention of a relatively small universe of Catholics (small in comparison to the vast numbers of baptized Catholics who are completely detached from the Vatican pronouncements to the extent that what they hear once on the news will constitute the sum total of the “knowledge” that they will ever possess on a given subject) is going to be riveted on the release of the text of Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s Amoris Laetitia, time has been taken to complete part two of my current commentary as it is not unrelated to the latest effort by the Argentine Apostate to seek “pastoral integration” for those steeped in unrepentant sins.

Indeed, the concluding part of the commentary makes reference to the simple fact that the false “pontiff” has consistently pulled out the rug from the hapless naturalists of the false opposite of the “right” while reaffirming those of the “left,” including the man who got hot and bothered by the fact that Donald John Trump, a man who is both a product and a victim of the false premises of Modernity, dared to question him about his commitment to the Catholic Church. The untold story of the controversy generated by Trump’s town hall last week is that Matthews was really irritated by Trump’s prosecution of him as a dissenter from Catholic teaching on abortion, and it was in this context that Matthews forced Trump into answering a question about punishment for women who kill babies that he was not prepared to answer.

We live in truly diabolical times, which is why we need to keep close to Our Lady and Saint Joseph as never before.

It is now time to complete my own commentary on the pending “reconciliation” between the Society of Saint Pius X and the Vatican revolutionaries, noting that there is very good information to be found at Novus Ordo Watch Wire. Nonetheless, I do have a few things to score, deciding that it was good to complete the current commentary before doing so. And although it will take me a bit of time, I will have my own commentary on Amoris Laetitia. Such a commentary will posted over the course of a week or so and broken into segments.

Attention will be focused thereafter on such minor little things as the Society of Saint Pius X’s pending merger with the “pope” whose new “exhortation” would have brought great joy to the lecherous soul of King Henry VIII and to the denizens of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha.

Revised: Saint Vincent Ferrer and Anti-Saint Vincent Ferrers Aplenty

This is a revised version of an article that was written in 2011 to contrast the zeal of Saint Vincent Ferrer for the conversion of Jews and Mohammedans with his antitheses in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, who do not believe that they have a mission from God to seek with urgency the conversion of the souls of any non-Catholics, including adherents of the Talmud and the Koran.

Although I would not have thought it possible five years ago when this article was written originally, Jorge Mario Bergoglio is even more of antithesis of Saint Vincent Ferrer than was Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI before him, that that the German Modernist by the way of the “new theology” was any slouch in this regard. It’s just that the Argentine Apostate has exceeded everything that has gone before him in the past fifty-eight years, and he’s still at his work of destruction.

That long delayed article is still being written. Considerable progress was made yesterday. It is my hope to complete work later today. I am very sorry, but the work just has to proceed at much slower pace, and even this revised article is being posted around 1:00 a..m., some thirty minutes after work on the next original article was suspended.

Finally, today, Tuesday, April 5, 2016, is the third anniversary of the death of Mrs. Melissa Kunkle, the late wife of Mr. Thomas Kunkle of Sharonville, Ohio, and the mother of twelve loving children to whom she was so very devoted. Please join us in remembering the repose of this devout Catholic woman’s immortal soul.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Revised: Ecce Ancilla Domini, Fiat Mihi Secundum Verbum Tuum

Today's article is a slightly revised reflection on the transferred feast we celebrate today, the feast which signifies the moment when the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, the very Word through Whom all things were made, personally entered into human history as He was made Incarnate in the Virginal and Immaculate Womb of His Most Blessed Mother by the power of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, Who overshadowed Our Lady after she had given her perfect Fiat to the Will of the First Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Father, as that Will was made known to her by Saint Gabriel the Archangel. The whole of human history is changed today--and no one can remain neutral about what happened on this day.

If the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity really did become Man this day in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb so as to redeem us on the wood of the Holy Cross thirty-three years later, as we know is indeed the case, then every person and every nation on the face of this earth must acknowledge this fact and subordinate everything to the Deposit of Faith that He has entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication. We must pray to Our Lady every day so that we will never lose sight of the centrality of the Incarnation in our own lives and in the lives of our nations, never lose sight of the fact that Holy Mass itself is Incarnational as the Word Who was made Incarnate in her Virginal and Immaculate Womb is made Incarnate on altars of sacrifice under the appearances of bread and wine by true bishops and true priests.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ spent nine months in the tabernacle of Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb, thereby sanctifying the wombs of al mothers. He is in solidarity with every child in every mother's womb. Every abortion, whether by chemical or surgical means, is an indirect attack on the Incarnation that took place this very day.

A blessed Feast of the Annunciation of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to His Most Blessed Mother by Saint Gabriel the Archangel to you all.

Although I have been trying to complete a very long article on the multiple mentions of baby-killing that were made by the naturalists of both organized crime families of naturalism last week and through yesterday, various circumstances, including my health, have gotten in the way. It is my hope that I will be able to complete it today. I apologize for the delay. The overnight posting of the last original article on this site did me in, physically speaking, for the better part of two full days. Work has proceeded at a snail's pace.

We Must Profess To An Unbelieving World That Christ Is Risen

Transcription of passages from Father Maurice Meschler’s The Life of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Son of God, in Meditations began on Easter Sunday, but was interrupted to write the article posted two days ago. Work resumed on this current reflection, albeit with various interruptions, including answering correspondence, on Easter Tuesday and it has now concluded early on Easter Thursday.

The purpose of this reflection is to use Father Meschler’s meditations on the fact of the actual, Bodily Resurrection of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ from the dead on Easter Sunday to refute the sophisms of the lords of Modernity, who are either indifferent or hostile to its accomplished fact, and the lords of Modernism, who use obfuscation and false exegesis to deny it. The world has descended into barbarism because most people alive today, including a large number of Catholics, actually believe that Our Lord rose from the dead on Easter Sunday.

We must always profess that Christ is Risen in the midst of an unbelieving world!

Luther Was Right, The Council of Trent Was Wrong, So Says Cantalamessa

The hour is late.

Given the importance of the subject, I have written a brief commentary on Father Raniero Cantalamessa’s latest reiteration of his belief in the Lutheran heresy on the doctrine of justification that is shared in its entirety by both Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis and Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, a heresy that was at the foundation of the joint Conciliar-Lutheran declaration of justification that received the approbation of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II on October 31, 1999.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of one of the finest Catholic gentlemen we have ever met, Mr. Jack Hagerty, who died yesterday at the age of ninety-one in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Jack was a fully traditional Catholic who, despite many infirmities, would drive two and one-half hours to and from Holy Mass on Sundays until he became incapable of doing so. He was a devoted father and grandfather.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Resurrexi, et Adhuc Tecum Sum Allelulia (2016)

Alleluia! He is Risen! Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has made manifest His Easter Victory over sin and eternal death. “O death, where is Thy victory. O death, where is thy sting?”

We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again incorruptible: and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption; and this mortal must put on immortality. And when this mortal hath put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor. 15: 51-58)

Our Lord made His Easter Victory over sin and eternal death manifest first to His Most Blessed Mother, who stood so valiantly at the foot of His Most Holy Cross as she cooperated completely in His Redemptive Act, bringing us forth as the spiritual sons and daughters of the living God in great pain by means of adoption. W need to rely on the help of Our Lady as the consecrated slaves of Her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart so that we may persevere in a state of Sanctifying Grace with perfect contrition for our sins until the moments of our deaths so that our bodies and souls will be resurrected on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead and counted among those destined for the enjoyment of an unending Easter Sunday of glory in Paradise.

Nothing else matters if we save our souls by cooperating with the graces won for us by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ’s Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. Nothing else matters if we fail to soul our souls.

This glorious day of Easter rejoicing is meant to be but a foretaste of Heaven. Let us live as redeemed creatures as we reject the naturalism of Modernity and the Modernism of the soul-killing agents of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad!

An original Easter reflection will appear by tomorrow morning, Easter Monday.

Although I will return to the distasteful task of commenting on the outrageous behavior and preaching of the false “pope” and his “papal preacher” in a day or two, it will be very hard to leave the solemnity of the Paschal Triduum, which has brought us now to the beginning of Easter joy, to return to the muck and mire of the world again. Yet is that must work out our salvation in fear and in trembling in the midst of the world as this is the time that God has appointed for us from all eternity in which to live and thus to sanctify and to save our souls as members of His true Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order.

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
