One Hundred Sixty Years Ago: "Penance! Penance! Penace! Pray to God For Sinners"

Today is the one hundred sixtieth anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes, France. Our Lady explained to the fourteen year-old Bernadette that we must do penance for our sins and for those of others.

Can we do any less in our day?

Indeed, the state of the Church Militant on earth and of the world-at-large has worsened as the sins of men have grown more numerous and more daring and as most baptized Catholics have been deprived of access to Sanctifying Grace by virtue of the invalid sacraments offered in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. God is not going to permit any country that kills the innocent preborn with legal impunity and kills souls in the name of the falsehoods of "freedom of speech" and "freedom of the press" and "freedom of religion" and a general sense of legal and cultural licentiousness to know long term material prosperity. Then again, these merchants of death have been enabled by the conciliar revolutionaries, who believe that signs of "outward penance belong to a different era in the history of the Church." We must indeed take Our Lady's injunction, "Penance! Penance! Penance! Pray to God for sinners," most seriously as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permits.

My commentary on the forthcoming "canonization" of Giovanni Battista Enrico Antonio Maria/Paul VI has another two to three hours of work to do on it before posting. The entirety of yesterday, the Feast of Saint Scholastica, was spent on the project. Indeed, work on it only ceased about five minutes ago, well after Midnight on Quinquagesima Sunday, which, of course, demotes the Feast of the Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes to a commemoration.

Heretics Kill, Starting With All Truth, Supernatural and Natural

[February 9, 2018, Update: Although I am still working on a long commentary about the ongoing coup against the "conservative" fan all things military, which includes budget-busting deals with spendthrift Democrats who love to see future generations hopelessly burdened with the national debt and the taxation necessary to deal with it, word reached me late last night after arriving home after a day or errands and arranging for more medical tests that a "miracle" has been attributed to Giovanni Battista Enrico Antonio Maria Montini/Paul VI! A miracle, mind you. Well, I do mind, and it is with this in mind that I have started work on a brief commentary that takes precedence over the one that I have been working on assiduously for about ten days now. I hope to have the Montini commentary published by very late Saturday, February 10, 2018, the Feast of Saint Scholastica.]

Work continues on my long article examining the ongoing coup d’etat against the egotistical naturalist-in-chief, Donald John Trump, a man who is in love with what even the Freemason named George Washington warned against, a standing army, and who seems ready to do the bidding of what the tormenter of Catholic refugees from Soviet bloc nations, President Dwight David Eisenhower, said was inimical to a free society, the military-industrial complex. There is a coup being conducted by those seeking to cover-up the crimes of the previous administration, but this does not mean that all is well in the current administration. Naturalism, no matter of the “left” or of the “right,” produces disaster despite the intentions of those who believe in their brand of it.

This current commentary deals with the fact that the “humble” Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who protested last month that there was no a “shred of evidence” to prove that one of his favorite comrades, “Bishop” Juan Barros, knew of the clerical abuses that had been committed by his mentor, Father Fernando Karadiima. Well, there is now proof that Jorge Mario Bergoglio was given the proof directly.

Doubly Betrayed by Jorge and His False Church

Well, it is another very late hour that is very much past the time when I should have gone to sleep.

However, I did want to complete and post this lengthy review of how Jorge Mario Bergoglio and his false church are betraying faithful Catholics in Red China and some very courageous Mohammedan converts to what they think is Catholicism who are upset with the “pope’s” incessant praise of the “religion of peace.”

Is there anything going on in the news these days?

Ah, yes, that business about some kind of memorandum, right?

Give me a day or two, my good and most kind twenty readers, and I will have a “little” commentary on the matter, which will be followed, if not accompanied, by a brief video presentation. (Remember, I am very “low tech,” but I would make more use of video presentations if I had a facility near me that would be conducive to making them on a regular basis. However, I will endeavor to have such a presentation in a few days.)

Our Lady Lights the Way of Her Divine Son by Her Humility

The next original article for this site, upon which work was done for over eight solid hours yesterday, is nearing its completion. As the hour of this posting of a revised reflection on the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary is late, I will pick up work on the article in a few hours in the expectation to have to posted by the latter part of today's feast.

Obviously, today is the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, always the humble handmaid of the Lord who humbled herself this day, the last day of Christmastide, which ends after Holy Mass today, by submitting to the rituals of the law although she was not in need of such a ritualistic purification because of her Perpetual Virginity.

This is the day that Our Lady presented her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in the same Temple where He would be found twelve years later answering questions of the rabbis, the same Temple whose curtain would be torn in two from top to bottom as He breathed His last on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem us, thereby signifying the permanent end of the Old Covenant and the supersession of Judaism by Catholicism as the true religion. The aged Simeon, who waited patiently every day in the Temple for the fulfillment of the promise that God had made to him, that he would not die before his eyes had seen and his arms had beheld the Messiah, sent the first Sword of Sorrow plunging through Our Lady's Sorrowful and and Immaculate Heart when he prophesied that the Child he beheld would be destined for the rise and for the fall of man, a sign to be opposed, a Sign of Contradiction. We must never fear to be signs of contradiction in our own lives in imitation of the THE Sign of Contradiction, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as He hung on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem us as he was mocked and reviled by the very people from whose stock He had taken His Sacred Humanity.

We must be willing to suffer all manner of calumny and humiliation for the many times that we have preferred human respect to fidelity to Our Lord, for the many times we have refused to call upon Our Lady's maternal intercession, for the many times we have refused to "take sides," especially in our day by refusing to reject conciliarism and its ravenous wolves once and for all.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

Saint Joseph, pray for us.

Revolutions Always Eat Their own

The hour is late. Indeed, it is later than what is good for my health.

This particular commentary is about Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s Jesuitical efforts to make it possible to subject Humanae Vitae, July 25, 1968, to one of his “paradigm shifts” in order to justify the use of artificial contraception.

The irony of this is that the allies of the Argentine Apostate who are preparing the way for this “paradigm shift” are using the very concept of subjectivism upon which Humanae Vitae’s embrace of personalism, which had been condemned by Pope Pius XII in 1944, was based.

To provide some background about the revolutionary nature of Giovanni Battista Enrico Antonio Maria/Paul VI’s Humanae Vitae, I have retitled a study from six and one-half years ago to reflect the fact that it is now nearly fifty, not forty-three, years after this progressivist document was published. Nothing has been changed in the text of the study. Please scroll below today’s republished reflection on Saint John Bosco for this study.

Although I have reviewed the text of President Donald John Trump’s first State of the Union address last night, a commentary on it and upon other matters concerning his presidency and the attempt on the part of the deep state to end it will have to wait for a few days.

For the moment, however, the speech was pure, unadulterated Judeo-Masonic naturalism and it was replete with the Pelgianism that that is of the essence of the Americanist spirit.

Whatever happened to “Without Me, you can do nothing”?

Republished: Saint John Bosco Had Zeal for Souls Until The Moment He Died

Today is the Feast of the great Saint John Bosco, to whom we are very devoted. This is a revised reflection on an extraordinary priest who had a zeal for the salvation of souls in his youth, a zeal that would last until he died on this date in 1888, one hundred twenty-eight years ago.

Saint John Bosco stands a rebuke to everything that manner in which the conciliar revolutionaries refuse to seek converts to what they think is the Catholic Church and the manner in which they reaffirm unrepentant sinners in lives that could lead them to Hell for all eternity if they do not go to Confession and amend their lives. This brief reflection, written about four or five years ago, I believe, is an effort to capture the spirit of this magnificent teacher of the young, mystic and zealous apostle of souls.

The Names Change, The Apostasy Stays The Same

The conciliar apostates have now concluded what they call the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which is not the same thing as the Chair of Unity Octave.

This commentary discusses the differences.

Republished: Saint Francis de Sales: Apostle of Charity and Zealous Foe of Calvinism

Today, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, is the Feast of Saint Francis de Sales.

I am hereby republishing a brief and woefully indequate account of the Apostle of Charity and zealous foe of Calvinism.

Although I worked all day on Sunday and Monday on the next original article, which is already over thirty pages in length, there is still yet more work on it to do before it can be posted. I do hope that, after seeking to raise funds privately to pay for two new rear tires, which are bald (one is flat) even though there are only 24,000 miles on them, after having had to purchase two tires for the front last week, to have the article posted within twenty-four hours of this republished article. Thank you for your patience.

The Season of Septuagesima Is Upon Us Once Again

Today is Septuagesima Sunday and the Commemoration of Saint Peter Nolasco and of the second feast of Saint Agnes on the date that she appeared to her parents a week afer her martyrdom.

Lent begins in but seventeen days.

Easter is exactly nine weeks way.

It is time to start our preparations for Lent, time to start thinking about the penances we are going to undertake starting on Ash Wednesday in order to make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world as we prepare to enter deep into the mysteries of the Paschal Triduum of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Passion, Death, and Resurrection on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The purple vestments representing a penitential season of Holy Mother Church make their reappearance today to remind us that we must be deadly serious about the business of making the best Lent of our lives as we do not know whether this Lent will be our last one on the face of this earth--or whether we will even live to see the end of this particular Lent! Let us use this time well as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit. Work continues on this site's next original article, which should appear by late this evening, if not sooner. (Another injury to the exact same area of my lower back that was injured six years ago has impeded work in the past few days. Penance is indeed better than ever in 2018.)

Our Lady of Dolors, pray for us.

Saint Peter Nolasco, pray for us.

Saint Agnes, pray for us.
